Atlanta Company Starting 2nd Plant in Cullma

Atlanta-based Reliance Worldwide Corp. is expanding its manufacturing operation in Cullman and planning to add 130 jobs.
Company officials joined Gov. Robert Bentley on Monday to announce that the company will open its first U.S. plant to take its SharkBite plumbing connection system, which has been produced only in Australia. Officials said the company will invest $50 million in a 150,000-square foot plant and will spend $5 million to expand an existing distribution center.
Reliance Worldwide makes plumbing and heating products. It operates in Cullman as Cash Acme and has a 250,000-square-foot plant. The plant and distribution center employ 170 people.
State officials said the company will receive $1.1 million in financial incentives from the state if 130 jobs are created and $1.25 million in employee training services.
