Man Arrested in Connection to Car Break-Ins

AndersonAndalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson says an arrest has been made in connection with the recent rash of car break-ins.

Chief Hudson says the suspect, identified as 18-year old Charles Kawan Anderson, was picked up by Monroeville officers Wednesday, September 21.

He has been charged with 21 counts of breaking and entering a vehicle, one count of theft of property 2nd degree, two counts of theft of property 3rd degree and 11 counts of theft of property 4th degree. His total bond is $353 thousand dollars.

This is an on-going investigation and more charges could be forthcoming. He is also believed to have been involved in a series of car break-ins in Monroeville.

Chief Hudson would like to remind citizens that just because this man has been apprehended to not let you guard down. Make sure you lock your vehicles, even in your own drive-way and do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
