Bentley, Others Subpoenaed in Impeachment Investigation

Subpoenas were issued to Gov. Robert Bentley and several other people and corporations Thursday for documents pertaining to the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment investigation against the governor. It wants Bentley’s financial records, tax returns, schedule, cell phone bills and related documents, starting from when he became governor in 2011.
According to committee chairman, Rep. Mike Jones, R-Andalusia, “these individuals and corporations have until 5:00 p.m. On Monday, October 10, 2016 to deliver the requested documentation to the special counsel. If they fail to comply we will take appropriate action.”
That special counsel, Jack Sharman, has told the House Judiciary Committee that the people in question have been less than cooperative in responding to his requests for information.
Those subpoenaed include: Gov. Robert Bentley, Bentley for Governor, Inc., Rebekah Mason, Jonathan Mason, Michael H. Echols, Alabama Council for Excellent Government, JRM Enterprise, Inc., RCM Communications Inc.
