1 Arrested, 1 Injured in Union Springs Shooting

 

Union Springs Police Chief Danny Jackson says it started as an argument outside of the BP gas station just before 10 Thursday night. 

 

Chief Jackson says Ryan Thomas shot the victim in the stomach, but the victim’s injuries were non-life threatening and he’s been released from the hospital. 

 

Thomas’ out on probation for a different charge, so Chief Jackson says they are working on having him held in jail with no bond.

 

He’s been charged with first degree assault. 

 

Chief Jackson says drugs were recovered on the scene.
