Pregnant Women Need T-Dap Vaccine

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says more pregnant women should get the vaccine known as T-Dap to keep their infants safe.

T-Dap protects against tetanus, diptheria and pertussis or whooping cough.

A new study shows only 14% of expectant mothers on Medicaid have been vaccinated.

Officials say efforts need to be stepped up to ensure more pregnant women get the shot.
