Family, Friends Hold “Hope for Houston” Run
Saturday morning close to 300 people came out to Wetumpka Middle School to show their support for Houston Sides.
He’s been diagnosed with a potentially fatal genetic disorder. This is the 2nd annual event  at Wetumpka middle school with a 5K, 10K and 1 mile fun run. Â

Organizers say the money they raise helps pay for medical visits and research of the disease.

Researchers launched more than 80 projects in the last year working to find a cure for the disease.
