The Cooler Weather is Here!
Thanks to a cold front that pushed through the area last night, it was much cooler this afternoon with temperatures topping out in the 60s. Tonight will be very cold, with temperatures dropping into the 30s, with some spots dropping below the freezing mark. Our first more widespread frost will be tomorrow night. A freeze watch takes effect from midnight tomorrow night until 8 a.m. Monday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s, with some locations falling to the mid 20s.
Afternoon highs will be gradually warming. For Sunday afternoon, we will make it into the lower 60s. By Monday we will top out in the mid 60s, and on Tuesday some locations will reach the lower 70s. Our next chance for rain appears to be in the middle of the week. Models are backing off on the amounts and coverage of rain, but it looks like there is at least a chance sometime between Wednesday night and early on Thanksgiving. We should make it to the lower 70s on Thanksgiving, with skies clearing in the afternoon.
After that, we dry out going into next weekend. Highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70 for Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, another front heading towards the area may give us another shot of rain.
