New Hope for Type 1 Diabetes

Harvard researchers say they’ve taken a giant step forward in finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Using embryonic stem cells, they were able to produce cells that make insulin.

Researchers say the cells functioned normally,and they were able to produce the cells in massive quantities.

They hope to start testing the cells in people within a few years.
