Teenager Charged With Stabbing Uncle After Uncle Told Him to Stay in School

Selma Police make an arrest in an early morning stabbing.
17-year-old Toborius Shepard is charged with stabbing his uncle.
It happened just after 12:30 Saturday morning in the 1800 block of Old Montgomery Highway. Shepard told police his uncle tried to verbally discipline him about going to school and staying out of the streets. Shepard said he stabbed his uncle twice in the back and once in the chest. The victim is in critical condition.
He is being charged as an adult for assault in the first degree. He is being held in the Dallas County Jail with no bond. Shepard could face between 2 to 20 years and $30,00 in fines.
