Too Much Baseball Pitching Could Damage Kids

Throwing more than 100 pitches a week could impede shoulder development for teenagers and young adults.  

That’s according to researchers in Philadelphia who have identified an overuse injury in baseball players that could lead to rotator cuff tears.  

Doctors recommend pitchers ages 15 to 18 — play no more than two games per week and throw no more than 50 pitches per game.
