Another Cold Night and a Milder Sunday Ahead

Get ready for another night with temperatures falling to at or below the freezing mark. Temps will be in the 30s by the 8pm hour tonight and continue falling from there. Skies will be clear overnight. By tomorrow morning, just about everyone will be experiencing freezing temperatures. Fortunately, wind chills will not be much of a factor tomorrow morning.

Cloudcover will increase during the day Sunday. Winds will turn to the south tomorrow, which will result in a warmer afternoon. Afternoons highs will make it into the lower 60s area-wide. Late Sunday night into early Monday morning, a few showers will be possible ahead of a cold front approaching from the Northwest.

We will see more rain by Monday afternoon. Temperatures will again be mild on Monday afternoon, topping out in the mid 60s. Overnight lows will also be significantly warmer, in the mid 50s for the start of the work week. Our best chance for rain will be on Tuesday as the slow moving cold front moves a little closer to the river region.

Rain will be on the way out of here by Wednesday afternoon when the cold front is expected to finally push through the river region. Expect another round of Arctic air towards the end of the work week. Highs will be in the 40s on Thursday and only in the 50s on Friday. Another shot at some rain will head our way next weekend.
