Holiday Shopping Days are Ticking Down

shoppingOnly two more weeks until Christmas, which means only that many days to finish off the holiday shopping list.

A noticeable trend in recent years is the number of shoppers heading to online retailers. Some people even prefer to do their grocery shopping over the Internet.

“I think most people are doing online shopping this year,” says United Parcel Service worker Chandler Johnson. “Because, I work at UPS and this year there’s just a lot of, you know a lot of pressure with online shopping and orders getting out and a lot of boxes. So it’s kind of big this year with, online rather than in the store.”

Though there are still a few shoppers who prefer to head to the stores when searching for that perfect gift.

“I’m old school, so definitely in the stores,” says shopper Kay Stone. “I like to be out in the crowd and see all the lights and the Christmas trees and so forth. Online to me, you don’t really know what you’re going to get until you get it. And I’ve never had really good luck, so I like to be in the stores.”

Some of the most popular Christmas gifts this year include the card game “Cards Against Humanity”, the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, and for kids, the Hatchimal.
