Christmas Lights Tradition Continues to bring Smiles

A special light display in Montgomery has been lighting up the neighborhood and people’s faces young and old for decades. And this year is no exception.
The home on Dalraida Parkway is a holiday favorite. The Gemette  family has been putting up a light display for 28 years.
It takes them about 6 weeks to set it all up and 3 weeks to take it down.
They say each year they take some away and put new ones up. And it’s something they do for the community.

“Mainly just to see people get pleasure out of it. When they smile, I smile,” said Carmen Gemette.

If you would like to see the display for yourself, it’s at 3581 Dalraida Parkway off of Dalraida Road in Montgomery.
It will stay up until New Year’s night.
