Update: Montgomery Police Make Homicide Arrest

Montgomery police say they’ve arrested a suspect in the shooting death of 18-year-old Jaylen Henderson on Monday.

Police have charged 17-year-old Markeefé Hill of Montgomery with one count of murder in connection with Henderson’s death. Officers say Hill turned himself in to detectives today and is now being held under a $150,000 bond.

On Monday at about 8:20 a.m., police and fire medics responded to the 1800 block of Cairnbrook Drive after receiving a report of a subject shot. That’s where they found Henderson’s body.

Police say Hill was a friend of Henderson’s.
