Montgomery Man Arrested on Multiple Sexual Abuse and Robbery Charges

The Montgomery Police Department arrested Decarsio Shorts, 20, of Montgomery in connection to sexual assault and robbery involving two victims.

The first incident occurred on Tuesday, February 14, in the 2600 block of Zelda Road and a second assault involving one victim that occurred on Friday, February 17, in the 5800 block of Monticello Boulevard.

MPD’s investigation indicates that Shorts arranged to meet the out of state victims through social media and once they are there they are sexually assaulted and robbed of personal property.

Shorts was taken into custody late Friday night and further investigation identified him as the suspect in both cases.

Shorts was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he was being held under bonds totaling $420,000.
