80+ Degree Warmth Ahead

A good soaking rain event continues across our area this evening but it will taper off overnight. Rainfall amounts will be close to an inch or more before ending. The upper low producing the rain activity will drift southeast of our area overnight night. This will slow down the rains for Wednesday. The entire system will be far enough away from us by Thursday. As a result, we are back to sunny and much warmer temperatures. Looks like upper 70s to lower 80s late week. Changes are on the way for the upcoming weekend. A cold front brings in a few showers early Saturday then colder air spills into the are Saturday afternoon. Temps are down in the mid to upper 30s Sunday morning. Old man winter is still lurking!
