Montgomery Man Charged with Assault of Police Officer

On March 3 around 2:45 p.m.,  MPD responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 4200 block of Phelan Court.

Once at the scene, officers encountered the suspect. The suspect is said to have physically assaulted an officer as MPD placed him into custody. The officer received medical treatment for his injuries.

MPD charged the suspect, Cedric Manora, 21, with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and third-degree domestic violence.

He was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he was being held under bonds totaling $16,500.
