Two Accused in Counterfeit Ticket Scheme Arrested

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Tuscaloosa police say two people accused of selling fake tickets to an upcoming University of Alabama football game are being held on $240,000 bond each.
Sgt. Brent Blankley says 38-year-old Shannon Stanley Sizemore and 31-year-old Heather Kieatha Sizemore, both of Panama City, Florida, are each charged with 16 counts of possession of a forged instrument and are being held in the county jail. It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
Blankley said in a statement that a person who bought tickets from them through a Craigslist ad suspected they were counterfeit and called the police. Blankley says investigators set up a deal to buy additional tickets from the two and found that couple had 16 counterfeit tickets.
Authorities say additional charges could be filed at a later date.
