Family Searching for Answers One Year After Pike Co. Murder

For one Pike County family, it’s been a year of learning to cope with no answers.Â
Â
Mike Mills was shot and killed this time last year and there’s still been no arrests.Â
Â
It happened at the Spring Hill Hill Mart. Mills was working his second job when someone robbed the store, shot and killed him.Â
Â
His family and friends gathered at his grave to share memories and release balloons. They attached a flyer with information on the case to each balloon, hoping someone will see it and help investigators.Â
Â
Donna Mills, the victim’s wife said, “It’s really stressful knowing that whoever did it is possibly still out there. Living their life like nothing happened probably.”
Â
Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas said, “Do the right thing. Come forward and share that information and let’s let this family have closure.”
Â
A $10,000 reward is being offered. If you know anything contact the Pike County Sheriff at (334) 566-4347.
