New Charity Donation Bin for Liquids at Airport

If your travel plans take you to the Montgomery airport, that big bottle of shampoo you may have to throw out… will now be going to good use.

A  local ministry will be benefiting from it.
Deborah Thomas is vice president of Reality and Truth Ministries.
The ministry on South Court Street in Montgomery helps to serve the homeless. And that’s exactly where the donations will go.
She designed the bin and got it approved to place it in the airport.
So now your liquid products that don’t make it past security will benefit others.

“A lot of people travel. They get those little shampoos, little soaps. You can put those in the bin and we do hygiene kits. So we need them all the time. We have an influx of people. We have probably 10-12 showers going on every day,” said Thomas.

Max-R is the name of the company that designs custom recycled bins. Thomas won the bin free of charge. It will be a permanent fixture at the Montgomery Regional Airport.
