Bama Fans Holding Off on Playoff Game

Alabama Crimson Tide fans are no strangers to going to national championships and big games.
But the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on News Year’s Day doesn’t seem to be attracting as many fans.

“I haven’t heard a demand for tickets or people panic for tickets as we’ve seen in years past. As a matter of fact, I’ve had some associates that have had no problem picking up tickets,” said sports analyst John Longshore.

But that doesn’t mean the prices are cheap.
While the official tickets are all sold out. Ticket Exchange and Stubhub are selling them anywhere from 355 to 2,000 dollars.
But many Alabama fans say they are also looking ahead.
A week and a half later the national championship will be played in Dallas.
Those prices are going for 788 to 10,000 dollars.

“When you figure all that in and you want to go to the championship game too. Knowing those tickets are going to be a lot more expensive then flying and getting a room in Dallas, we’re trying to weigh our options,” said Bama fan Katie Segrest.

Many Bama fans say they are taking their chances and doing the same.

“If you don’t have enough money save it for the national championship,” said Robert Adams.

And one Florida State fan says he thinks he already knows who will be playing in the national championship. His Seminoles and the Crimson Tide.

“I think that’s what the world wants to see. I think they’re the two best teams and they’ve been wanting them to meet up for a long time now. I think it’s best that they do actually meet up. So I think that’s what everybody is gearing towards, yes,” said Britton Harvest.

But if you do want to get to the play off game, Longshore says you may not want to hold off too much longer.

“I can promise you that every seat will be sold once the game is played, you don’t want to get left out, you need to go ahead and act now,” said Longshore.
