APD: Ernest Finley takes job as Montgomery Police Chief

The City of Montgomery has a new police chief. Although the City of Montgomery and Mayor Todd Strange are not commenting right now, The Atlanta Police Department confirms Atlanta PD Chief Deputy Ernest Finley has retired to take the position as Montgomery Police Chief.
Finley is a 29-year-old veteran of the Atlanta Police Department’s Community Services Division.
Montgomery mayor Todd Strange says he is looking forward to introducing the new chief this Wednesday, but has not publicly said who the new chief will be.
Former Montgomery Chief Kevin Murphy retired from the post October 1st.
