More than 600 gymnasts representing 38 states tumbled into Montgomery for the weekend.

The city hosted this year’s National Gymnastics Judge’s Cup in the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl. And just as the name entails, this three-day event is also about the judges.

It raises money for the association that educations every gymnastic judge in the U.S. from beginning levels up through the Olympics.

Places like the Host Hotel- Embassy Suites saw a boom in business this weekend. But with a jammed packed gymnastics schedule that didn’t leave much time for anything other than eating and sleeping.

Patricia Delaney, Manager Sportsplex Gymnastics Maryland said, “we haven’t gotten a chance to see a lot of Montgomery because we are kind of in and out because we’ve been busy but I hear there’s a lot of historical sites that I would have loved to seen. But hopefully next time we come down here we will see them. “

City officials anticipate a $500-750,000 estimated economic impact from this event.
