Â
Family and friends were there cheering on the first responders. Law enforcement officers across the nation have been under pressure with increased racial and community tensions. But, they hope charity tournaments like this show that they are human behind the badge.Â
Â
Sgt. Antavione Ferguson, Montgomery Police Department said, “I hope they see that first and foremost, like you said, that we are human, and humans do make mistakes, and police can be more than just people that work on duty, we can do things off duty and have fun with one another.”
Â
The winner not only takes home the Chief’s Cup, but they will leave kids with smiling faces. They are playing to collect toys for charity. The fire department won for the second year in a row. Â
