An Alabama legislature is seeking a new bill that would free removal of mug shots from websites. Democratic Rep. John England of Tuscaloosa says he will present the bill march 3, the beginning of the legislative session.
He says it would prohibit commercial websites from charging a fee to remove a mug shot once the person in the photo requests it.
He says the bill is the result of complaints from people who have been cleared of charges but have their mug shots remain on commercial sites for years
