Some local middle schoolers go back in time at the Elmore County Black History Museum in Wetumpka.
After a short welcome ceremony and lesson on what Black History month means by Wetumpka city officials, fourth graders from Wetumpka Middle School watched a quilt making presentation and toured the entire museum.
It’s all thanks to The Elmore County Association of Black Heritage, in association with, The Lucille Wise Memorial Foundation, Incorporated.
The mission of the Elmore County Black History Museum is to promote a better understanding of black history in Elmore County.
