Tallapoosa Co. Man Killed in Deputy-Involved Shooting

A Tallapoosa County man is dead after a law-enforcement involved shooting.
It happened just after noon near Booger Hollow Road in Dadeville, according to Sheriff Jimmy Abbett.
Abbett says when deputies arrived, Fletcher Ray Stewart was waving a pistol and yelling.
He then ran from officers.
Abbett says during the foot chase, Stewart pointed the gun at officers.
He says a deputy fired a shot at Stewart.
The case has been turned over to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation.
