Police: Burglars Target House of Worship

Two men are in jail after police say they tried to steal lawn equipment from a Montgomery Church. It happened early this morning at the Capital City Church of the Nazarene on Vaughn Road.

Changes Coming to Downtown Tallassee

Renovations are set to begin on the historic Mount Vernon Theatre in July. Volunteers raised nearly half a million dollars for the project. Now people who live there are turning their attention to the abandoned buildings just blocks away from the theatre and Hotel Talisi, which shut down after an arson in 2009.
