ACTION 8 DAY: Friendship Mission needs your help

Join Action 8 and our community partners as we help Friendship Mission on our first-ever Action 8 Day on Saturday, May 11.

Friendship Mission has been helping the homeless for nearly 30 years. It operates a shelter for men and another shelter for women and children.

Because those shelters are used 24/7 all year long, there are repairs that need to be performed. That’s where you come in.

We are looking for volunteers — everyone from people skilled in plumbing and electrical work to people who can carry materials and help crews stay organized.

Some of the repairs needed are the replacement of ceiling tiles, rotten wood and other touch ups. Because Friendship Mission focuses its resources to help people in need, it hopes you can help with donations of time, money or materials. Even bottled water would be welcomed.

Action 8 Day is from 9AM to 4PM on Saturday, May 11. CLICK HERE to learn more.
