Montgomery Nurse Gets 10-Year Sentence in “Pill Mill” Case

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that nurse practitioner Lilian Akwuba of Montgomery has received a 10-year sentence for her part in two separate “pill mill” operations in Montgomery over a four-year period. A federal appeals court is refusing to block Alabama’s bid to execute an inmate convicted of killing a country preacher with a sword. 2019 Memorial Day Weekend Traffic Fatalities Cut in Half from Last Year

During the same holiday period in 2018, Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) investigated 10 traffic fatalities. The 2019 total was half that. Chemical Leak Contaminates 10 People at 187th Fighter Wing

Montgomery Fire and Rescue responded to the the scene of a “hazardous material incident” at the National Guard Armory (187th Fighter Wing) on Selma Highway.
