Inaugural NFL Alumni Youth Camp Taking Place this Summer in Montgomery
The first Alabama/Auburn NFL Alumni Athletic Youth Camp will be taking place in the City of Montgomery during the second week of June.

Carrington Cole is a Reporter/MMJ for WAKA Action 8 News. She also works in the Creative Services Department editing station promotion and commercials.
Carrington was born and raised in Montgomery and has always dreamed of working in the media industry. She is a 2019 Auburn University graduate with a degree in Visual Media and a minor in Theatre.
Carrington interned with WSFA in Montgomery and War Eagle Productions while finishing her bachelor’s degree. She moved to Atlanta after graduating college where she worked in a production company before moving back to Alabama in 2020.
She has been working with WAKA since May 2021 and has been excited to learn more about the media industry.
When she’s not working, Carrington loves shopping for clothes and getting new books to read. At home, she’s usually curled up with her cat while watching a horror movie.
The first Alabama/Auburn NFL Alumni Athletic Youth Camp will be taking place in the City of Montgomery during the second week of June.
Selma was one of 25 small towns in the country to be awarded the nationwide T mobile home town grant.
"The songbird population has been on a constant decline and this shall help bring back the Songbird population," stated Jessica Coleman.
There were job openings in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Construction, and Transportation. Event attendees were encouraged to bring their resumes to share with employers.
The sports camp has been running every year since 2009 and kids ages 3 - 15 can enroll to learn and play in all kinds of sports.
Fresh Anointing House of Worship had a free gas giveaway Saturday morning for the first 100 cars in line.
Shady Street Park is being built in Northern Montgomery and it is the first park to be built in that area in decades.
An omelet breakfast was held at the Capitol to promote Alabama's $15.1 billion poultry and egg industry.
The Montgomery Kiwanis Club presented grants for more than two dozen charities.
New York artist, Bayete Ross Smith, is constructing a boombox sculpture called "Got the Power: Boomboxes" that will be displayed in the MMFA garden.
