Police have charged 41-year-old Derrick Wilson, of Montgomery, with one count of murder.Â
Police say their initial investigation prompted a homicide investigation; however, new evidence has adjusted their probe into a death investigation. Â
26-year-old Ronel Gomez, of Montgomery, was shot and killed around 9:42 p.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of Gas Light Curve.
The shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. in the area of 3rd Avenue and Cherry Street.Â
