Historic Capri Theatre in Montgomery Set to Re-Open in April

The longest, continually operated movie theater in Alabama is set to re-open it’s doors by April.  The Capri Theatre in Montgomery closed it’s doors back in December to undergo an $800,000 renovation.  The money for the renovations was raised through donations. Alabama Man Sentenced to Death for Murder of Pregnant Wife

A Marshall County judge has sentenced a north Alabama man to death for the second time in the 2009 death of the pregnant wife. Gov. Bentley Awards Grants to Domestic Violence Victims in Five Counties

MONTGOMERY— Gov. Robert Bentley has awarded grants totaling $243,954 to support specialized units dedicated to assisting domestic violence victims and prosecuting abusers in five central Alabama counties. “Domestic violence is a terrible crime, and those who are guilty must be held accountable,” Bentley said. “I commend these domestic violence units for helping victims and prosecuting offenders.” A $137,259 grant is…
