Broncos new general manager George Paton’s first draft comes with the team at a quarterback crossroads. Paton wants to bring in competition for third-year pro Drew Lock and he can do that through the NFL draft with a rookie or in its wake via trade for a veteran. The Broncos own the ninth overall pick in the first round and have three selections in the top 75. That gives them the fodder to move up if they want to grab a quarterback.
