Auburn’s Johni Broome earns a spot on the Wooden Award® All-America Team and also is a finalist for the The Los Angeles Athletic Club’s Wooden Award®. The Award is given to the most outstanding player in the U.S.
Both Auburn Head Coach Bruce Pearl and Johni Broome earn awards from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Pearl was named the Division I Coach of the Year, while Broome was named the Pete Newell Big Man of the Year.

Auburn hopes to have Johni Broome in full health for the Final Four matchup against Florida. Broome exited the Tiger’s Elite 8 game against Michigan State following a fall in the second half, he later returned to the game and posted his 21st double double of the season.
