The latest Associated Press College Football Playoff bracket projection shows that Alabama won’t make it into the playoffs following its loss to Tennessee on Saturday.
Alabama took the biggest drop by far in the latest AP Top 25 College Football Poll, falling from No. 7 to No. 15 after its 24-17 loss to Tennessee in Knoxville.
“I gotta take full ownership (of the loss),” Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe said. “When it comes to communication up front, communication to the guys around, I gotta do better.”
The College Football Playoff future for both programs is on the line Saturday with Alabama and Tennessee each having a loss already this season.
No. 7 Alabama was able to hold off South Carolina 27-25 with an interception after allowing the Gamecocks a chance at handing the Crimson Tide its second straight SEC loss.
Alabama will host South Carolina on Saturday, a week after losing to Vanderbilt just after being ranked as the No. 1 college football team in the country.
