Guitarist Jeff Cook, who co-founded the successful country group “Alabama”, has died.
The exemption would end in three years unless extended by lawmakers.
Lawmakers are aiming to give final approval to the bill on Thursday.
The measure now goes to Gov. Kay Ivey.
The new campaign is designed to educate citizens, as well as visitors, in an effort to save lives, prevent damage and keep Alabama beautiful.
Officers responded around 4:00 p.m. to the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road Monday.
An Alabama State Trooper with the Marine Patrol Division was injured after the Trooper’s vehicle was hit by a falling tree. This happened in Tallapoosa County on Elkahatchee Road near Wind Creek State Park. The Trooper was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
