Moonshine Operation Found in East Alabama

Police in Eufaula are investigation after finding an illegal moonshine operation and dozens of fermentation barrels. Eufaula Police Sgt. Donald Brown told news outlets Tuesday that 36 fermentation barrels were found in a wooded area on Monday. He says the barrels could produce about $7,500 on each run. The victim of a murder in Butler County has been identified as a missing Montgomery woman. According to Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden, the body of 18-year-old Maura McCoy was discovered Sunday afternoon in the woods off of Mount Pisgah Road. McCoy was reported missing this weekend.
