Belk Says It Will File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

North Carolina-based department store chain Belk says it will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In our area, the company has stores in Montgomery, Prattville, Selma and Auburn. “The Boy Scouts has hired law firm Sidley Austin to explore a potential chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, according to The Wall Street Journal.
