MPD Makes Arrest in Gilmer Ct. Murder Investigation
The Montgomery Police Department has made an arrest in the Thursday, August 18, shooting death of 30-year-old John Whitehurst of Montgomery. MPD detectives charged Vashard Belton, 20, of Montgomery with one count of murder. Belton was taken into custody in the 2100 block of East South Boulevard by MPD detectives on August 18.
