The Kiwanis Club of Montgomery has presented more than $345,000 in grants to 21 charities based on money raised from the Alabama National Fair.
The Kiwanis Club of Pike Road has awarded $8,000 in college scholarships to four area students.

The ornaments feature the Pike Road Schools logo with 10th anniversary across it. They sell for $20 each.
The Alabama National Fair got its start in 1954, and this year’s edition was another big success.
A fire at the fairgrounds one month ago destroyed all of the equipment and tools used to set up for the Alabama National Fair.
This week the contestants are preparing themselves for the preliminaries and finals that will be taking place this weekend.
