A Troy University student has died in a Florida car crash, according to university officials. Officials say 19-year-old Aslesha Pandit and three other students were traveling to Panama City Thursday afternoon, when they were involved in a three car crash near Ebro, Florida.  Pandit later died at the hospital. Elmore Co. Sheriff: Man Found Shot to Death

The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in Tallassee.  Sheriff Bill Franklin says that a driver called 9-1-1 around 6:30 a.m. Saturday after seeing a body at the intersection of New Quarters Road and Taylor Road. Colonel Toms Tavern was intentionally set on fire early Wednesday morning, according to the State Fire Marshal.
