WAKA Action 8 is recognizing the individuals who are making history TODAY. From Montgomery to Selma and all the cities and towns in between have a uniquely defined place in history with the civil rights movement. There is a reason that Montgomery and Selma are known as the birthplace of civil rights. Over the years, we’ve explored and reported on the different pioneers who breached the barriers.
