The Montgomery City Council met Tuesday with all 9 seats filled for the first time since January of this year. Ed Grimes was officially sworn into office filling the seat left empty following the death of the late Richard Bollinger.Â
Ed Grimes will become a Montgomery City Council member, representing District 1, after his opponent dropped out of next month’s scheduled runoff.
Members of the Montgomery City Council gathered along with the Montgomery Police Department and the Montgomery Fire and Rescue to learn more about the crime in apartment complexes and what landlords may or may not be doing to keep residents safe.
Montgomery is going through many changes from the roads being repaved and businesses being created to the new white water facility that is underway. The city is also working to get a new police chief to help with the crime in the capital city.
Montgomery’s citywide mask order is scheduled to expire Sunday, May 9.
