Montgomery police have now released the locations of two shootings that happened early yesterday morning that left three people injured.
According to police, the first shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. when MPD responded to the 5100 block of Carmichael Road in reference to someone being shot.
The unidentified man was shot Saturday night just before midnight in the 2400 block of East South Boulevard.
Participants received cash in exchange for their firearms.
According to MPD, the vehicle refused to stop which led to a police chase.
22-year-old Dontrez Taylor has been charged with Capital Murder and Murder in two July 12 homicides.
Family and friends gathered at Dye’s graveside in Georgia to honor her memory, but her mother says the grief is compounded by frustration and unanswered questions.
“There have been times where we have been in the living room, all of a sudden we hear the gunshots. We have to drop on the floor,” the homeowner said.
Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed says statistics show that crime is down for the first half of 2025.
