Whole Foods Market in East Montgomery is expected to open November 10th.  It will bring close to 200 jobs to the Capital City. Along with those jobs, it will also bring new competition to local health-focused grocery stores. Memorial walk held for Montgomery shooting victim

Friends and family of a Montgomery man shot and killed held a memorial walk Monday evening. The Montgomery Police Department says 19-year-old Zhivago Hines was shot Saturday Sept. 24, around 11 p.m.  The shooting happened in the 600 block of Clinton Street.  Hines was taken to a local hospital where he later was pronounced dead. Hotel to be built in downtown Montgomery

City leaders announced that a new hotel will be built in downtown Montgomery Wednesday.  The hotel will be built at the current site of the Bishop Parker building near Riverwalk Stadium.
