TEMPE, Ariz. | The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2021 Division I Women ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams this week, with Alabama State well represented with eight individuals and a team award.Alabama State was one of three teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) to earn the All-Academic Team distinction, while the Hornets also had eight student-athletes earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

ASU Football: SWAC Media Days to be held Tuesday in Birmingham and aired on ESPN3

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will host its annual SWAC Football Media on Tuesday, July 20 at 10:00 am CST at the Sheraton-Birmingham. The event will be streamed live on ESPN3 with college football commentators Tiffany Greene and Jay Walker teaming up to host the event.

Race for Montgomery City Council District One Seat Headed to Runoff

The race for the Montgomery City Council District One seat will go to a runoff. Ed Grimes won 49-Percent of the votes, while his opponent Donnie Mims received 21-Percent of the vote. Multi-million Dollar Renovations Underway at Historic Montgomery Church

First United Methodist, Montgomery’s oldest church congregation, is getting renovations after almost 200 years. 

One renovation members say they are most excited about is a new organ. After 50 years of use, they are putting their previous organ to rest, to welcome in Alabama’s first Schoenstein organ, produced by one of the countries oldest pipe organ builders.
