After Tuesday nights’ City Council meeting, a resolution has been released to the public detailing the reasons why the mayor and other city officials are under investigation by the city council.
Last month the city council announced that they were stripping the mayor of his position as superintendent of utilities. This resulted in a $50,000 pay cut for the mayor. Although the city council claims they are investigating the mayor, they have not said what the investigation is about and why this is taking place.

The city of Tallassee has released a list of coronavirus-related restrictions. From March 19-April 10, there will be no public access to city hall.
