Cutting Edge Spine Surgery Technology at Jackson Hospital

There is new technology being offered in Montgomery that is the first of its kind in the state for spine surgery.

Jackson Hospital and the Stryker Corporation have teamed up to bring integrated Suites.
The “iSuites” include  HD video for teaching and training purposes and GPS navigation.
The new technology allows the surgeons to pinpoint exactly where they need to be and where they need to go in the surgery process.

Dr. Patrick Ryan is a neurosurgeon.

He says, “it’s important to our patients because the integrated suites allow us not only to increase the safety of our surgery, it allows our nurses to see and follow what we’re doing during surgery. It makes them  more efficient. It makes them able to anticipate our needs better.”

Jackson Hospital and the Stryker Corporation have been working on this for about a year.
They say a lot of hard work and planning went into bringing this cutting edge technology to Montgomery.
