ABI Investigating Apparent Suicide in Tallassee
New information about the shooting incident that took place in Tallassee earlier this afternoon.
Tallassee Police Chief Jimmy Rogers tells Alabama News Network that a man appears to have killed himself in his car while police were trying to arrest him.
This happened at the Marathon gas station at the intersection of Kent Road and Gilmer Avenue.
No law enforcement officers were hurt during the exchange.
Because of the circumstances, the Alabama Bureau of Investigations is investigating the incident.
